Easy. Simple. Ranch.
Salads are already boring, the only thing that makes it better are the toppings & the sauce. Most importantly the SAUCE!
Here I created a vegan avocado ranch dressing so that I can dream of salads instead of running away from them.
Yields: 1 & 1/3 cup
Why make homemade ranch dressing instead of store bought?
Always better to make your dressing for salads at home! The best part of it is that you can make more than what the store bought ranch can provide. Also, it has that freshness to it that store bought ranch can not replace! The more you can dodge from preservatives in store bought ranch dressings , then the better for you! Try the vegan avocado ranch dressing and see the difference!
Estimated reading time: 3 minutes
Many store bought brands use marketing strategies to lure you into buying their products. They continue to find different ways to manipulate you of all the things that you want to hear and believe in. If you have the time which is up to 10-15 minutes of gathering the items together and blending it, I say its worth it! Don’t be afraid of making it yourself, because you are totally capable in doing it!
I also took the next step and additionally baked the garlic cloves! Totally optional if you do not have the time.
1 & 1/3 Cup of this Vegan Avocado Ranch Dressing
I used about 2 to 3 tablespoons when I ate a full bowl of salad. Although, many of you might want to double this recipe, if you add 1/4 cup or more for your salads. When you scroll down to the recipe, you may press the 1x, 2x, 3x, to either double or triple the recipe!
It is thick and silky smooth enough to mix with the greens and toppings!
Make sure to check out my salad where I used this vegan avocado ranch dressing.

Vegan Avocado Ranch Dressing
Equipment
- high speed blender (bullet)
- measuring cups & spoons
- cutting board
- spoon
Ingredients
Produce
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon or 3 tbsp. bottled lemon juice
- 1 avocado
- 1.5 tbsp. dill
Liquid
- 1.5 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup oat milk
- 1 tbsp. maple syrup
Seasonings
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1.5 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp. nutritional yeast
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions
- This step is optional, but recommended. Grab a small baking pan and bake the unpeeled garlic cloves for about 10 minutes @ 400 degrees Fahrenheit in a mini or standard oven. I didn't use oil but go ahead (it will effect the kcal).
- In a high speed blender (I used Ninja bullet), add in all of the ingredients into the blender. Blend for 1 minute or until smooth. That's it enjoy!
Notes
- There are about 17 tablespoons in 1 & 1/3 cup. 1 tablespoon is about 40 calories. Avocado is high in fat and makes it a high calorie sauce.
- Nutrition Facts for 1 & 1/3 cup: Calories kcal: 687 Protein: 26g
- Feel free to add fresh parsley if you have it on hand!
- Baking the garlic is optional.
- I had cucumber and cilantro on hand and didn’t want to waste it. I tried it before putting it in which was still really delicious. The cucumber and cilantro was a great addition to the dressing! Feel free to add any other ingredients if you think it will work nicely together!

Wow this looks awesome! I’ve been looking for more vegan dressings I can make at home. We can’t have nutritional yeast though, so I’m going to try it without it and see how it goes! 😉
Without the nutritional yeast is still really good! I would just sub for more dill! Thanks!
I’ll be making this! Love avocado, garlic and dill.
Yes! I’m the same! Thanks!
